Denim Care
Denim brands have been striving to perfect the natural ‘worn’ look for decades, however nothing can match the ageing process of a pair of raw denim yourself. It’s a process that can be tedious, especially whilst avoiding to wash them for as long as possible. But after all your hard graft and perseverance pays off – you’re left with a unique and custom fade, which is why denim care is essential. Thus, our mission to guide you through the process.
In a perfect world, prolonging the need to wash your threads for as long as possible, roughly 6 months or more is the key when it comes to Denim care and the perfect fade. With life’s everyday challenges however over this period if is likely you will get them dirty and will develop a slight musty odour or even an oily feel.
It’s a common myth that freezing your jeans gets rid of smells. All you are doing is adding more moisture once you thaw out your jeans. It’s best to air out whilst hanging jeans instead, although you may still find they have a musty smell once you’ve worn them again, yet do not fret, as this is where Wiuep Co Denim Mist comes into full effect.
How to use the
Wiuep Co Denim Mist
Simply turn the garment inside out, spray all over liberally, reverse the garment again, spray the outside, wait roughly 5 minutes or till dry to the touch. Then presto! Fresh Denim without compromising the fit with washing.
In the unfortunate event you may have a couple soiled patches, don’t stress. Before using our Denim Mist, grab a cloth, pour some lukewarm water into a bowl with a single pump of Wiuep Co Denim Solution and soak the cloth in it. Then lightly dab the stained spots. Do not rub, as you’ll only embed the stains deeper into your denim threads. Allow them to air dry before using the Wiuep Co Denim Mist.
Eventually however the time will come where you have to have to wash your beloved jeans, once you are ready to wash your denim you need to establish whether they’re pre-shrunk, because if they aren’t, when you do go to wash them, they could come back 1-2 inches smaller in the waist and shorter in the leg!
Washing jeans in a cold to lukewarm soak is relatively easy and quick plus it allows the excess indigo to be removed naturally, which could potentially rub on your fresh white tees, shirts and boots. Here are some words for the wise, the legend of using saltwater will never fix the colour when washing them, neither will washing them in coffee – all you’re doing is wasting a perfectly good brew.
How to use the
Wiuep Co Denim Solution
Turning you garment inside out whilst using the Wiuep Co Denim Wash Solution then soaking for 30/45 mins and rinsing with fresh cold water, trying not to agitate the denim unless you’re needing to remove specific stains, simply just soak then lastly stretch out the inseam while still wet and hang out to air dry naturally. This will have you looking and smelling as fresh as a daisy.
Investing in Wiuep Co’s enzyme-free products is one worth recommending, even if you are an amateur denim head or veteran denim aficionado. Denim is not cheap, it is an investment, and by caring, nurturing and taking pre-emptive measures with maintaining your jeans you can maximise your investment. Tips such as storing your threads, by hanging them and not folding works best as on a practical note it allows them to air out and helps prevents odours in the first place.
Modern day science and nature working for you with you, love the jeans you’re in.
